Welcome to the living word of God in genesis chapter 33 we find this beautiful story of someone who was deceived and someone who was a deceiver someone who was angry as someone who was on the run someone who wanted to kill and someone who was trying to save his life and skin
and after 20 years these two met in chapter 33 verse 1 says now Jacob lifted his eyes and looked and there Esau was coming with his 400 men
how would you like it you have ran away from him because he was after your life and now here you looked up and you see the same man coming with 400 men what chances do you have and you are alone but I tell you brothers and sisters the night before Jacob had wrestled with God and had prevailed and why should he be afraid when he was able to wrestle with God and come out victorious what is this man with 400 men I am sure with the promise of God that God was going to be with him with a changed name and with a changed heart I believe he was no longer afraid
and in verse 3 but he so ran to meet him and embraced him and fell on his neck and kissed him and they wept oh can you see this beautiful experience of the two brothers Esau who was deceived and Jacob who deceived his brother of his bird ride and blessing now meeting after 20 years they ran to each other can you imagine and with an outstretched hand hugged as tight as they can and the bible says they hugged and kissed and they wept
I tell you brothers and sisters you might have been deceived by your brethren in faith you might have been deceived by somebody you might have deceived the church and your organization and your brother and your neighbor you might have deceived your parents your friends but I tell you as a follower of Christ what we need to do from this experience is forgive one another in the lord and when you meet again embrace in being forgiven being changed and I tell you God is gracious may that be our blessing today.
