Welcome to the living word of God in genesis chapter 47 now we find Isreal coming into the presence of the great Pharaoh and in verse 8 Pharaoh said to Jacob how old are you and Jacob said to Pharaoh the days of the years of my pilgrimage are 130 years few and evil have been the days of the years of my life and they have not attained to the days of the years of the life of my fathers in the days of their pilgrimage so Jacob blessed Pharaoh and went out from the presence of Pharaoh oh brothers and sisters Jacob the old man the patriarch of faith at the age of 130 came into the presence of the great earthly king but Jacob was with the king of kings and the lord of lords God the living God and when Jacob was asked by Pharaoh how old are you Jacob said I am 130 years older but the interesting part is he said few and evil have been the days of my years of pilgrimage Jacob had lived for 130 years and we know what he had gone through but when he is minister and witness for the lord in the presence of Pharaoh he said few and evil have been the days of my life oh brothers and sisters how many of us can be like Jacob today how many of us can witness to the world today to our friends to our neighbors and to the community that few and evil have in the days of our life how many of us have learned to count our blessings how many of us find our life filled with joy and a few evil
I tell you brothers and sisters unless we learn to count our blessings we will not know how much God have blessed us then in verse 10 it says then Jacob blessed Pharaoh and went out I tell you if we learn to count the blessings and see less evil we will be able to bless others may that be our blessing to learn to count the blessings of God Amen
