Welcome to the living word of God in acts chapter 3 we find in verse 12 on the word so when peter saw it he responded to the people man of israel why do you marvel at this or why looked so intently at us as though by our own power or Godliness we had made this man walk oh brothers and sisters when something great has been done do you take credit for yourself or do you give glory and credit to God when you have been able to establish great institutions when church have grown under your leadership do you take credit to yourself or do you give credit to God John and peter say we are not the one we can do nothing but it is God Jesus whom you crucified alone can do this peter and John the poster of God acknowledge that God whom they serve is the God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob it does not change and therefore God’s principles and God’s law does not change you read with me verse 18 but those things which God foretold by the mouth of all his prophets that the christ would suffer he has thus fulfilled oh i tell you i tell you the God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob is the same God that you and i worship the great things that he has done and all written here in the bible he can still do in your life in my life in our church and in our institutions if we only believe if we only believe
peter and John say it is not us it is God who healed him who gave him the strength oh i tell you brothers and sisters let us not be like Nebuchadnezzar will say i and my kingdom it is not us it is God alone and in verse 19 peter and John said repent therefore and be converted that your sins may be plotted out so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the lord i tell you brothers and sisters i don’t know what you are going through in your life i don’t know what your church and institution is going through but as peter and John told the people i want to tell and assure each one of us repent therefore and be converted that your sins may be plotted out so that the times of refreshing may come from the presence of the lord may that be our blessing Amen
