Acts 5

Welcome to the living word of God in the book of acts chapter 5 we find the story of a husband and wife Ananias and Saphira you remember those days in the early days of the church everybody sold what they had and brought to the food of the apostles and gave it to God oh i tell you what you give to God can never go waste it will be blessed by God and multiplied never feel bad to give to God freely you have received freely you give and so Ananias and Saphira also had land they sold it and Ananias brought half of the price of the land that they sold but he brought half of the half when peter asked him he said yes this is all and soon he fell down and died they took his body and buried it soon Saphira came not knowing what had happened to her husband Ananias and she also told the same thing she fell and died brothers and sisters we may think that we can deceive and tell lies but God cannot be deceived God is everywhere the amount of money that you have cheated and taken for yourself and put in different bank accounts God knows the resources that you have manipulated and misused and misappropriated remember God knows Ananias and Saphira thought nobody will know yes your fellow human beings your church members your fellow workers may not know but remember God was with you right there and he knows exactly how much you took and where you have kept will you be able to answer if God on that judgment day asked did you take it for yourself oh i tell you when the judgment day comes everything will be revealed Ananias and Saphira died did God enjoy the dead of the wicked and the dishonest no the bible says God does not enjoy the death of the wicked God wants everybody to be saved but God wants us to learn to choose to be honest and faithful and to be a man of integrity remember God is with you all the time and God knows and remember you and i may be able to deceive our fellow brethren but never God.
