Act 7

Welcome to The Living Word of God in the book of Acts chapter 7 we find this story of Stephen one of the chosen ones taken for judgment and he shares and reminds the leaders of the church the Sanhedrin the Council of Elders about the calling to Abraham the promises made to him the calling to Jacob to Isaac and the life of Joseph and how God was with them all through the circumcision as a covenant of the people of God but Stephen emphasized on the Covenant of the heart

Stephen reminded them of their father Abraham the promise at the same time the prophecy of how his descendants would suffer in a foreign land for over 400 years Stephen reminded them of the struggle that they will go through of how God fulfilled the promise of a descendant to Abraham at the age of hundreds oh brothers and sisters God they have provided for us this word of God reminding us of all the stories of the Patriarchs of faiths in the Old Testament in the New Testament so that we are reminded of the promises of God and the faithfulness of God if God had done for them at that time why wouldn’t God do it for us today Stephen also reminded them how stiff-necked the people of God were that they suffered what they suffered because they did not obey the law of God because they did not listen and hold on to that promise of God o brothers and sisters we are given promises here how many of us are claiming the promise how many of us are faithful to God today are we like the children of Israel are we unfaithful to God when God is faithful are we claiming the promises when it is given to us freely let us remember that God loved us and is still faithful to all of us Amen
