Acts 10:9

welcome to the living word of God in acts chapter 10 verse 9 onward we find that Peter was in Joppa you remember the story Peter brought darkest back to life through the power of god so he was in Joppa and in Joppa in the sixth hour Peter went to the housetop to pray Peter the disciple of Jesus spent time in prayer what about us as Christians as followers of Christ are we spending time in prayer so you went to the terrorists to pray and as he was praying he was hungry and he was tired and he went up to sleep and in sleep he saw a vision and in that vision there was this great sheet of clothes coming down from heaven and in that he found all kinds of four-footed animals wild beasts creeping things and birds of the air and the voice said rice Peter kill and eat and Peter said no no no no lord for I have never eaten anything come on or unclean then god said what god has cleansed you must not call come on this was done three times and the object was taken up into heaven again oh brothers and sisters this is the story that has caused some confusion all around people see well in the old system and it was clean and unclean now look at this Peter the beloved disciple of Jesus was shown in the vision and god telling him there is nothing come on or unclean god has made it clean and therefore we can eat everything oh I tell you brothers and sisters if we read down the text we know the significance and the meaning of this vision it was not about unclean animals that can be eaten or not eaten because this vision was about sharing the gospel to the hidden to the so-called unclean by the Jewish community because when Peter woke up that’s what the bible says he was confused as to what it means and then as he was thinking there was a knock at the door and there were three people two servants of Cornelius and the soldier who had come searching for him that Peter understood the meaning of the vision it was not about the unclean animals it was about sharing the gospel to the world may god bless us to share the gospel Amen
