Acts 20:6

Welcome to The Living Word of God in Acts chapter 20 verse 6 we find this story of Eutychus in Troas

in verse 6 but we sailed away from Philippi after the days of unleavened bread you remember the Festival of the unleavened bread that children of Israel celebrated just before they left the land of bondage Egypt and in five days join them at trials where we stayed seven days verse seven now on the first day of the week when the disciples came together to break bread Paul ready to depart the next day spoke to them and continued his message until midnight in Trials Paul was supposed to leave the next day and so on the first day of the week he reasoned explained and teach and shared the word of God with the Believers in the upper room on the third floor till midnight and in that meeting was a young man was a young man and in the window said a certain young man named Utica who was sinking into deep sleep he was overcome by sleep and as Paul continued to speak he fell down from that third story and was taken up dead brothers and sisters the question is are we in the church today attending meetings as Christians yet are we like Eutychus falling into deep spiritual sleep he was in the meeting but he was falling asleep oh brothers and sisters many of us are Christians today our names are there in the register of the church as church members we are attending the church but spiritually we are asleep like Eutychus and as he fell into sleep and as he said by the window he fell off the window from the third floor and died oh brothers and sisters if we don’t stay awake and alert and Be watchful we like Eutychus will go to sleep and we will fall and die in sin o brothers and sisters wake up it’s not good enough to be in the meeting it is important for us to be awake spiritually may that be our experience Amen
