Acts 8:19

welcome to the living word of god in the book of acts chapter 8 verse 20 in fact verse 19 Simon said give me this power also that anyone on whom I lay my hands may receive the holy spirit but peter said to him your money perished with you because you thought that the gift of god could be purchased with money you have neither power nor portion in this matter for your heart is not right in the sight of god repent therefore of your wickedness and pray god if perhaps the thought of your heart may be forgiven you for you I see that you are poisoned by bitterness and bound by iniquity oh brothers and sisters are you bound by iniquity do you ever think that your riches your power your position can purchase the gift of god the gift of eternal life the gift of Jesus and his bloods as peter said your money perished with you because you thought that the gift of god could be purchased with money oh brothers and sisters let us not make the mistake like Simon let us never think that the gift of god eternal life heaven blood of Jesus the life of Jesus given up on the cross of Calvary can be purchased with money no money in this world can ever purchase the gift of god no eternal life no heaven can be purchased with the gift of god with money wealth and power that man possess let us not make the mistake like Simon but let us repent of this iniquity that we have of this anger that we have of this thinking that we have and let us know that the gift of god is free for all those who are willing to give their heart to Jesus the bible says for god so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believe shall have eternal life we only need to believe we only need to be willing to try and let god help us to live the life that god wants us to live we only need to choose Jesus as our savior and be baptized in faith in the water in the spirit and pray that we be filled with the holy spirit that we be empowered to live and be ready for his kingdom amen
