Leah’s mandrakes

Welcome to the living word of God in genesis chapter 30 verse 14 15 we find the story of two sisters

Leah’s son Reuben went to the field in the time of the wheat harvest found some mandrakes and brought it home and gave it to her his mother oh brothers and sisters as children when you have gone out somewhere and found something have you brought it home it may be material things it may be maybe you found someone that you admire do you come home and confide and take your parents into confidence Reuben brought his mandrake and gave it to his mother Leah and when Rachel saw the mandrakes she asked his her sister Leah please give me some of your son’s mandrakes oh brothers and sisters you don’t have something but you need it and your neighbors your sister or your brother or your sister institutional church or organization have it how do you try to get it do you ask and request for it or do you try some other ways to get what you want Rachel requested for it but what is the response of Leah in verse 15 you say Leah poured out her anger that was in sight she said you have taken away my husband now you want to take away my son’s mandrake the bible does not say but I can imagine she must have said no way oh brothers and sisters what is your response when your brother or sister your neighbor your sister institution or church or organization come to you in need because you have what they need do you take that as an opportunity to pour out your anger and take revenge let us not do that but the interesting story is Rachel went and offered Jacob to Leah oh brothers and sisters are you so desperate to offer your love for the sake of your needs

you love Jacob Rachel love Jacob offered for mandrake what are you offering and willing to give up for what you love that’s why God said you have love left your first love may we never be like Leah or Rachel may God bless you. Amen
