Wrestle with God

Welcome to the living word of God in genesis chapter 32 we find this experience of Jacob a man who was struggling with the realities of life I’m sure he remembered the time when he had deceived his father and his brother I’m sure he remember the time when he was running away for his life and I can remember that I can imagine Jacob remembering the dream of that ladder of angels going up and down and God seated on the throne I can imagine Jacob remembering how God had blessed him of his 20 years serving for Rachel and Leah I tell you brothers and sisters he remembered and as he was alone that night somebody came somebody came and wrestled with him and the bible says Jacob wrestled with this strange man whole night and as the dawn breaks the man said I need to go let me go Jacob said no way I am going to hold on to you until you bless me can you see something here Jacob realized he was not wrestling with man but with God and he wouldn’t let God go away until God blessed him are you wrestling with God are you struggling with things in life have you ever wrestled with God do you hold on to God and never let him go until he bless you and so God turned to him and he said your name is Jacob but your name shall no longer but Jacob verse 28 but Israel for you have struggled with God you have wrestled with God and with men and have prepared oh I tell you God wants to be with you God wants to bless you but are you wrestling with God are you holding on to God and telling him until you bless me I will never let you go and that’s why Jesus said pray without ceasing ask until you receive wrestle with God brothers and sisters ask him hold on to him and tell God God bless me and I tell you in as much as God blessed Jacob that day his name was changed from Jacob to Israel the splendor to someone who wrestled with God and became victorious may you have that victorious experience and experience of wrestling with God and receiving the blessings may that be your blessings.
